Less is More: My Simple Yet Powerful Skincare Routine

While genetics mainly determines the quality of skin health, how a person cares for their skin daily does, too. I receive compliments on my skin ALL THE TIME, so here’s a concise overview of what I do to maintain beautiful, radiant skin. All of the products I currently use will be linked.

Morning

  1. Cleanse to remove impurities, sebum, and sweat. Please use a cleanser appropriate for your skin type (normal, dry, oily, problem, combination, sensitive).
  2. Tone to restore the skin’s pH balance (optional, but I do recommend).
  3. Essence/Serum to target specific skin concerns (dullness, inflammation, hyperpigmentation).
  4. Moisturizer to nourish the skin and protect its barrier.
  5. Sunscreen to protect the skin from UVA/UVB/UVC rays and prevent skin cancer (necessary).

Night

  1. Cleanse to remove makeup, sebum, and sweat.
  2. Exfoliate 2-3x a week to remove dead skin cells (necessary).
  3. Tone
  4. Serum
  5. Moisturizer

It may seem like a lot, especially if you’re new to skincare, but I promise it is not. I recommend using only professional-grade skincare because it is much more effective in improving the skin. Contrary to some beliefs, ten products and twenty steps aren’t necessary to achieve beautiful, healthy skin. Consistency is most important.

With love,

H
